Stake Terms and Conditions

This page outlines the basic rules for using Stake, covering accounts, betting, payments, and other important details. By creating an account, you agree to these rules. If anything is unclear, please contact customer support before registering.
Stake is owned and operated by Medium Rare, N.V., registered in Curacao. The site is licensed by the Curacao Gaming Authority under license number OGL/2024/1451/0918.

User Responsibilities

Stake operates under a gambling license, which means that every user must comply with certain rules:

  • You must be at least 18 years old. There are no exceptions. Stake may request proof of age at any time and suspend your account until the necessary documents are provided;
  • You are responsible for your account details. Do not share them with anyone;
  • Use your real details when registering. Fake names, incorrect dates of birth, or incorrect addresses can cause problems in the future, especially when withdrawing funds;
  • Follow the law. If online betting is prohibited in your region, do not attempt to circumvent this restriction using a VPN or proxy;
  • Gambling is entertainment, not a source of income. Set a budget and stick to it;
  • You are fully responsible for paying taxes on your winnings. Stake is not a financial institution;
  • If you notice anything suspicious in your account or detect suspicious activity, report it to customer support immediately;
  • Behave respectfully towards other users and employees. Rude behavior, threats, or harassment will result in your account being closed.

Account and Registration

You need an account to place bets or play casino games. One account per person. Do not try to open a second one. If duplicates are detected, all accounts get closed, funds are retained, and you face a permanent ban.
Register with your real name, date of birth, home address, email, and phone number. Double-check the email because it is needed for verification and password recovery. Incomplete or inaccurate information can lead to suspension and deposits being treated as invalid.
Your account belongs to you alone. Selling it, giving it away, or letting someone else place bets through it is not allowed. Transferring funds between player accounts is prohibited. If your details change, update them in settings or contact support.
Stake can refuse registration without giving a reason. Turning on two-factor authentication is recommended for extra security.

Know Your Customer (KYC)

Stake verifies your identity before processing withdrawals. This is a standard KYC (Know Your Customer) procedure designed to prevent fraud and money laundering.
At any time, the platform may request documents confirming your identity and place of residence. This is usually a passport, driver’s license, or national ID card, as well as a utility bill or bank statement as proof of address. Stake may also ask about your profession or the origin of your funds.
Some features remain blocked until the verification is complete. Once approved, the restrictions are lifted and withdrawals proceed as normal.
All documents must be clear and legible. Blurry photos or expired IDs slow down the process.

Restricted Territories

Stake does not operate where online gambling is prohibited. The site cannot be accessed from Afghanistan, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Cayman Islands, Colombia, Côte d’Ivoire, Croatia, Cuba, Curaçao, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Liberia, Libya, Lithuania, Malta, Netherlands, North Korea, Ontario, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, South Africa, South Sudan, Spain, Sudan, Syria, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Zimbabwe, and other prohibited jurisdictions.
VPNs and proxies used to bypass these restrictions will result in account closure and confiscation of funds. This applies even if you normally reside in a permitted country but happen to be travelling through a restricted territory.

Deposits and Withdrawals

Stake accepts various payment methods, including cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies:

  • All deposits must come from accounts or wallets opened in your name. Payments from third parties are not accepted;
  • Do not deposit funds from illegal sources;
  • Only make a deposit if you intend to use the funds for betting. Depositing funds without placing bets may result in your account being suspended;
  • In accordance with anti-money laundering requirements, you must wager 100% of your deposit amount before requesting a withdrawal. This applies to both fiat and cryptocurrencies;
  • The minimum withdrawal amount is displayed on the website during the transaction;
  • Withdrawals are made using the same method as the deposit. Using multiple payment methods may result in separate withdrawals;
  • Stake may charge a withdrawal fee. Your bank or payment provider may add their own fees;
  • If your payment fails or takes too long, please contact support with your transaction details;
  • Funds credited to your account in error remain the property of Stake and will be removed. If these funds have already been withdrawn, the amount becomes a debt.

Betting Rules

Once confirmed, a bet is considered final. Bets cannot be canceled or changed. A bet is only considered valid once it has been confirmed by Stake.
Stake may void bets in the event of technical errors, obvious pricing errors, or violations of the terms and conditions. If the odds displayed differ significantly from the market due to a malfunction, the corresponding bets may be canceled.
Minimum and maximum bet amounts are set by Stake and are subject to change without prior notice. Limits may vary depending on the account or event.
Postponed, interrupted, or canceled matches may result in bets being voided or settled according to the rules of the sport. Results are taken from official sources, and once a bet has been settled, the decision is final.
Different products have their own specific rules. Please review the terms and conditions for each sport or game before placing a bet.

Privacy and Security

Stake collects personal data during registration and use of the website, including your name, contact details, payment information, and betting history. This data is used to manage your account, process payments, verify your identity, and comply with legal obligations.
All information is encrypted and stored securely. Stake does not sell user data to advertisers or third parties. Data is only transferred in cases provided for by law.

Prohibited Uses

Bets are intended solely for personal entertainment. The following actions will result in account closure and confiscation of funds:

  • Opening multiple accounts;
  • Using someone else’s identity or payment method;
  • Betting on behalf of other people;
  • Using bots or automated scripts;
  • Exploiting errors or loopholes in promotional offers;
  • Money laundering;

  • Colluding with other users;
  • Any form of fraud.

Persons with inside information about an event are not allowed to place bets on it. These include athletes, coaches, managers, referees, team owners, and any other persons who can influence the results.

Bonuses and Promotions

Stake may offer bonuses and promotions from time to time, including races, special events, reloads, and rakeback. By registering, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions of any promotion.
All bonuses are subject to certain conditions. Cash funds are always used before bonus funds. Stake may cancel any promotion at any time.
Abuse of bonuses, including opening multiple accounts to receive additional offers, may result in account closure and funds being withheld.

Responsible Gambling

Gambling should remain a form of entertainment. When it ceases to be enjoyable, it is a sign that it is time to take a step back.
Users can contact customer support to request self-exclusion or set personal limits on their activity. Professional help is available through specialized organizations. Customer support staff are trained to help users who are experiencing problems.

Complaints and Disputes

If something went wrong, please contact customer support at [email protected] or via online chat. Please provide the dates, amounts, and details of the transactions.
Stake will review your request and respond to you. In the event of a dispute, the server records are the primary source of reliable information. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can seek legal remedies under the laws of Curacao.

Changes to Terms

Stake periodically updates these terms and conditions. New versions are published on the website. Notification may be sent by email or posted on the website, but it is your responsibility to check for updates.
Continued use after the terms and conditions have been updated constitutes acceptance of them. The English version is the only legally binding version.
